Security
At indentr, we understand the critical importance of your data. It safeguards your business, your clients, and their information. Our team is relentlessly committed to protecting the privacy, security, and integrity of your account and the data you entrust to us. We recognize that information security is fundamental to our success, and we take every possible measure, every single day, to ensure its safety.
Physical location security
Indentr leverages Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to ensure the machines within our network
are protected at all times. GCP is an industry leader, offering a highly scalable cloud
computing platform with robust security and privacy features built-in.
Access to these data centers is strictly controlled and monitored using a multi-layered
approach. This includes physical controls, intrusion detection systems, environmental
security measures, 24/7 on-site security staff, biometric scanning, multi-factor
authentication, video surveillance, and other electronic safeguards. All physical and
electronic access by GCP employees adheres to the principle of least privilege, is
strictly logged, and undergoes regular audits.
GCP maintains a comprehensive set of reports, certifications, and independent
assessments – including ISO certifications, PCI DSS Level 1, SOC reports (SOC 1, SOC 2,
and SOC 3), and more – to guarantee ongoing, state-of-the-art data center security. You
can learn more about GCP security and compliance here:
Google cloud security
Google cloud compliance
Indentr employees do not have physical access to our GCP servers. Electronic access is
restricted to a select group of authorized indentr personnel only.
Data security
All passwords are filtered from our logs and are one-way encrypted in the database using
the BCrypt algorithm. indentr staff cannot view your password. If you forget your
password, you must go through the reset procedure for your account to be accessible
again.
Credentials such as passwords, OAuth tokens and API keys may be required to access third
party services. These Credentials are also encrypted and stored in our database.
Data Storage, Redundancy, and Backups
At Indentr, we understand the critical importance of your data. That's why we go beyond
simply storing it – we take multiple steps to ensure its safety and accessibility.
- Redundancy:
Your data is replicated across multiple servers within our infrastructure. This means even if one server experiences an issue, your data remains readily available on the others. This minimizes downtime and ensures business continuity. - Regular Backups:
We perform regular backups of your data. These backups serve as an additional layer of protection in case of unforeseen circumstances, such as hardware failure or data corruption. In the unlikely event of an issue, we can quickly restore your data from these backups. - Encryption at Rest:
All data stored within our systems is encrypted using a complex algorithm. This means even if someone were to gain unauthorized access to our servers, the data would be unreadable without a special key. Only authorized personnel have access to this key, providing an extra layer of security for your sensitive information.
Communications security
All indentr website communications are encrypted using a secure HTTPS connection. This
industry-standard encryption protects your data during transmission, ensuring it remains
confidential and cannot be viewed by unauthorized third parties.
Security and Privacy Features
While robust security systems are essential, user behavior often plays a crucial role in
data protection. At indentr, we prioritize user empowerment. We equip you with the tools
and features you need to manage your data securely, adhering to the strictest
enterprise-level security standards.
User account security
We provide a role-based administration system for user accounts. There are two roles available within indentr, Owner and Member. Only Owners (Bill payers) have the ability to create Member accounts and edit billing information.
Employee access and security
We regard your data stored within indentr as private and confidential to your practice
and patients.
Our production environment is completely isolated from the other environments —
including development and testing.
indentr employees are granted access to systems and data based on their role in the
company or on an as-needed basis.
Access to your data by indentr employees is only used to assist with support and to
resolve customer issues. When working on a support issue we do our best to respect your
privacy as much as possible and only access the minimum data needed to resolve your
issue.
